Paper tearing

This memorable activity can be used to draw out a multitude of lessons. You can make a point about communication, or diversity, or compliance, for example.

It’s quick and easy, and all you need is a blank piece of paper for each audience member.

As you’ll see in this video, I ask them all to close their eyes and offer an alternative option if they are uncomfortable with that.

I do four folds, rotations and tears, but obviously you can give different instructions if you prefer.

Remember to provide a prize just in case someone matches your result. (I’ve probably only had to give out a prize two or three times out of 100.)

P.S. When they all hold their paper in the air at the end, it creates a great photo opportunity you can use in your social media and marketing.
