Helping participants get into Zoom
If your participants can’t download the Zoom app, or don’t have a Zoom account, they can still attend your meeting via their usual web browser.
First, you (the host) have to tick the option in your settings that allows people to join from their browser (this creates a new link on the ‘launching’ page).
This is what the setting looks like. You’ll find it towards the bottom of the long list of settings.
Then ask your participants to follow the step-by-step instructions below. You can talk them through it, or send them these four images.
Participants might have to answer three questions before they can join the meeting. Here’s what they need to do:
- Tick ‘yes’ to turn on audio (if asked)
- Tick ‘yes’ to turn on video (if asked)
